Julie DeLoca is an innovative marketer and brand builder with expertise in retail, luxury, fashion and beauty marketing and advertising. Working within both fashion companies and advertising agencies, Julie noticed that brands within the retail space were lacking the synergy of a clear, branded message in all channels, so she created LOCA Marketing to address the communication needs of retailers.
Prior to creating LOCA Marketing, Julie was the President of MODCo Creative - a branding and advertising agency in NYC. Before that, she established the marketing department at Rebecca Minkoff - one of the fastest-growing contemporary fashion and accessories companies in the US - and was the VP of Marketing at Elie Tahari. Julie's experience advertising global luxury brands like Valentino, Versace, Escada, Ferragamo, Via Spiga and others, as well as mass market companies such as Levi's, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, Maybelline, and Neutrogena has provided her with unique insights into how to make great brands into iconic sales-driven brands. The combination of ad agency and retail experience gives Julie insights and authenticity that few others working in marketing and advertising today can claim.
In addition to championing brands through LOCA Marketing, Julie is proud to be mentoring companies within the retail and fashion-tech space via The New York Fashion Tech Lab.
