Will McClelland is a Co-founder and General Partner of Elizabeth Street Ventures, an early stage investment firm focused on the digital consumer and next generation brands. He has over fifteen years of investment experience in sourcing, research, due diligence, investing, risk management and portfolio construction across both the hedge fund and venture capital industries.
Prior to co-founding Elizabeth Street, Will was a Partner at Grace Beauty Capital, a family office making early stage investments in leading consumer brands and retail technology companies. Prior to that he was Managing Director of Research at Ironwood Capital Management, a multi-billion fund-of-hedge funds, responsible for investment selection, risk management and due diligence. Will was a portfolio manager and member of the firm's Investment & Risk Committee. He started his career at Lehman Brothers in Technology investment banking. Will also co-founded Bambike & Bambike EcoTours with his younger brother, a bamboo bicycle manufacturer and tour operator with the goal of building the greenest bikes on the planet while improving the livelihoods of local builders in rural communities in the Philippines.
Will graduated from Yale University with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Anthropology and Economics.
Will currently sits on the Board of Directors of two portfolio companies - High Court and Tiny Organics.
He is a CAIA designee and a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association, and FRM – Financial Risk Manager, certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
